The home is located in the town of Jutiapa. Welcomes and assists mostly abandoned seniors, offering them shelter, clothing, food, medical care, moral and spiritual guidance.
An in–patient treatment and recovery support program for teens and adults with alcohol and drug addictions. Located about 20 miles from Antigua in a peaceful rural pastoral setting near Sumpango, the residents are mentored by not only the Franciscan friars, but also a staff of trained phychologists and physicians.
“Renacer” means rebirth and as many as 90% of those treated at Renacer move on to a new and full addiction- free life.
Provides child care for children 6 months to 6 years from low-income families catering to families of single mothers who work in the central market of Antigua Guatemala.
Breakfast and lunch are provided and education in personal hygiene, Christian ethics and early childhood development is stressed. Workshops for parents are aldo provided.
Provides a safe haven for surgery patients to recover and offers housing and food. It is currently administered by the humanitarian organization Faith in Practice .
It has the capacity to provide shelter and refuge for about 100 people per night who usually come from very remote areas of the country. They can be accompanied by a relative to help them and assist in their journey home after surgery.
